Delays via Regular Post to WAAustralia Post have advised that there are delays to WA from the East Coast due to multiple rail line issues. (We're on the East coast) As a result, regular parcels and mail is expected to take two weeks longer than usual. This does not affect Express Post which is moving by air and is a much faster option. Please consider EXPRESS POSTPlease consider selecting Express Post to avoid the delays caused by the cross-country rail outage. This will also avoid possible heat damage as rail freight is waiting in containers and warehouses which may expose the freight to excessive heat for a prolonged period of time. We'll continue to monitor the situation and advise accordingly. E6000 CAN NOT MOVE BY AIRIf you're selecting Express, please reconsider adding E6000 Adhesives to your order. E6000 is a ground-only item and can not move by air. Therefore selecting Express with E6000 in the order will be no faster than regular post and will be caught in delays caused by the rail line closures. Notice from Australia Post dated November 17th:Parcel Post items sent to Western Australia from the east coast of Australia may take up to an additional two weeks to be delivered (based on our current estimates).
Heavy rain and flooding has closed the Sydney-to-Perth rail line. The Melbourne-to-Adelaide rail link is also closed due to damage caused by a train derailment; the reopening date is unknown at this stage. Our Express Post service is not affected by the rail closures. If you need to send items to Western Australia urgently, consider this option. Please note that as more customers opt to use this service, there may be a two-day delivery delay. |
